Job Title: Machine Operator 1n FLSA Status: Non-Exemptn Department: Operationsn Reports to: Assistant Manager, Superintendent or Assistant Superintendentn GENERAL DESCRIPTION / PURPOSE: n Machine Operator 1 (MO1) is responsible for operating, maintaining, and repairing company railway maintenance and inspection equipment. This position can operate Loram's on track MOW equipment and/or on track vehicles with supervision in both operating and travel modes. In this role you may be assigned to various types of equipment platforms dependent on business needs and demands.n ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: n Safety FocusednnAbility to lead a comprehensive and appropriate job briefing during operations shifts, maintenance shifts, and while conducting maintenance tasks.nConsistently follows safe work processes, procedures and rulesnUnderstands on track safety and can explain specifics when askednAble to locate all emergency equipment and demonstrate correct operationnn Machine Operations and Technical Knowledge nnConducts machine inspections to identify problems, defects, changes, and hazards and communicates conditions to the operator or supervisor and performs common repairs as instructed. Provides accurate feedback that allows machine leadership to make maintenance decisionsnAccurately records and reports common parts used to supervisor, including floor stocknPerforms maintenance and repairs according to set schedules and policiesnAccurately describes gauge and HMI functions as they relate to machine operationnDemonstrates the ability to document and complete daily field reporting, personal expense reporting, field lodging, and other administrative reporting as necessarynn BEHAVIORAL COMPETENCIES: nnSafety AwarenessnValues BasednLearning on the FlynAction OrientednListeningnPersonal Learningn REQUIRED
Qualifications:n
Experience: n 2
Years Demonstratedntechnical skills such as mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and machinenoperations. 2
Years Demonstrated ability to learn communicate verbally and innwriting and learn best practices. Slots - 1+nyear experience Heavy equipment operator (Backhoe, Excavator, or alike). Heavy Maintenance/ Construction equipmentnmaintenance. Basic administrationncomputer skills. Working knowledge of data systems and remote equipmentnoperations cellar or tethered. n Licenses/Certifications: Maintain Railroad Certifications, CPR/First Aid, valid Driver's Licensen WORKING CONDITIONS: n The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the role. The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
